Clary gives Jace a preview of what his birthday night will be like
Submission by Ava and requested by anon
Clary stared at herself in the mirror, silently wondering how she’d ever reached this point in her life. She had never been the kind of person to do this. She never wore dresses, heels weren’t worth the effort, hell, she almost never felt her hair on her shoulders! But here she was in heels and some black, lacy set. She stared at her reflection in the mirror, wondering how she’d ever let Isabelle convince her this was a better idea for Jace’s birthday than concert tickets.
"You coming out soon, angel?" Jace called from her bedroom. Clary fluffed her hair a bit nervously. What if he didn’t like it? This is what she gets for listening to Isabelle…
"One more second, Jace."
Jace made an inelegant noise and she heard her bed springs squeak as he threw himself back onto the bed. Clary took another deep breath, trying to find her inner courage. Black runes snaked across her arms and chest, twining underneath the lace bra.
"Is this what I’m getting for my birthday? Waiting?"
Clary rolled her eyes and unlocked the door. Jace heard the click of the lock and immediately sat up straighter. She cautiously stepped out from behind the door and leaned against the wall, blushing and smiling nervously.
There was dead silence.
Clary fidgeted with the ruffles on her hips, waiting for him to say anything. Jace was silent, his eyes a little wider than normal as he looked her over.
"Well?" Clary finally asked, looking up to meet his dark aureate eyes.
After a moment, Jace released a strangled sound that might have been a moan and stood up, walking over to capture her lips in a swift and heated kiss. When he finally pulled away, Clary was breathless.
Jace’s eyes were wide and dark as he looked down at her, his calloused hands rubbing circles on her lace covered hips.
"Happy birthday to me," he murmured before kissing her again.
Ms Marvel recently went to its sixth printing, a rare accomplishment in comics today.
But chatting with Marvel executives at San Diego Comic Con I discovered more. That it sells more in digital than print, and that includes the first issue.
Relevant to something I was wondering about yesterday. (From here.)
Oh, interesting.(via postcardsfromspace)
I still wish Clary and Izzy would’ve been parabatai
(Smutty Clace for anons)
"Didn’t you mom ever tell you not to play with bad boys?"
Clary looked straight into Jace’s lidded, gold flecked eyes. The tiniest bit of bottom lip trapped between his teeth. He was so sexy without even trying and he seemed to think that she was too. Moving forward, she wrapped her legs around his waist and pulled him closer by the neck of his shirt, so that he wouldn’t miss a single word.
"I don’t like to be bossed around. I’m a bad girl too."
He dimpled, a sudden rumble of laughter burst between his lips. “Are you? I’m going to have to test that theory.”
She pretended to fend him off as he captured her mouth, pressing his hands on the small of her back. Clary heard a deep growl low in his throat as he pulled away first and licked his lips, grateful that they were glamored so nobody besides him could see how much he had made her blush.
god bless sdcc

I need to say something about the best Clace scene ever, which was in City of Heavenly Fire.
No, it’s not THAT scene. I’m talking about the scene where Clary tells Jace about what happened in the apartment with Sebastian. And let me tell you why it is so great and so powerful. Because it’s so…
